The UAC Function was held on Nov. 16, 2019 and as usual was a roaring success.
Many thanks to the invited guests who came and partook in the fine food, comradeship and helping us to honour our athletes. The year in reveiw slide show and pictures of the function are here. We will put up pictures and videos up as they become available. If anybody has any good pictures of the UAC family please don't hesitate to send them to Kevin Kydd, Jasmine Gill or Emily Kydd. We can then use them on the various platforms we have. |

Congratulations to Jasneet, the Nijjar family, and Coach Jessie.

Sue is currently in Ottawa, volunteering at Encounters With Canada, and had the opportunity to meet with Surrey Newton Member of Parliament Sukh Dhaliwal on Monday February 25, 2019. They discussed sport in Surrey, especially track and field and the upcoming developments at Bear Creek Park. She also shared some photos from the UAC Instagram page, and he was very pleased to hear of our club success. Mr. Dhaliwal kindly gave Sue an opportunity for some behind the scenes look at the Parliament building, and she was introduced to the Speaker of the House of Commons, The Honorable Geoff Regan. (Note from web master; Above you can see Sue telling the speaker of the house how to conduct a proper meeting.)

Emily Kydd ran the Vancouver "First Half" Marathon on Sunday February 10, braving sub-zero temperatures to achieve a personal best time in the 21 Km event. The last half marathon Emily ran was in Jamaica, just a bit warmer than Sundays race, but she broke that time by 7 minutes. It also helped that the snow held off until she had crossed the finish line. Emily began her athletic career as a 9 year old, and is still running, plus volunteering as a provincial BCA Official. She welcomes any other UAC members to join her in long distance running. Congratulations to our one person Road Racing Team!
